Efterklang concert featuring South Denmark Girls' Choir
Efterklang is returning to Alsion Concert Hall in Sønderborg, this time collaborating with South Denmark Girls' Choir. In 2024, Efterklang is planning to release new music where South Denmark Girls' Choir are featuring on several recordings.
The band has already announced a special release concert at London's iconic Barbican Concert Hall, and now they're adding this release concert at Alsion Concert Hall on November 2, 2024, with South Denmark Girls' Choir and their conductor Mette Rasmussen as special guests.
Efterklang has been working closely with South Denmark Girls' Choir for many years, but this concert in Alsion Concert Hall will be their only collaboration in 2024. The repertoire will focus on new songs, but classics from Efterklang's catalog will create a harmonious framework that binds the entire event together.
The three members of Efterklang - Mads Brauer, Casper Clausen, and Rasmus Stolberg - were all born locally in the Sønderborg area and have since been traveling the world with their music for over 20 years.
They have released a number of critically acclaimed albums over the years, and it's truly impressive how Efterklang has established themselves as an engaging and highly regarded band.
Efterklang has a special ability to create concert experiences that are inclusive and inspiring. The band's music elegantly weaves elements from pop, indie rock, post-rock, and electronic music.
Efterklang has performed multiple times at Alsion in collaboration with the South Danmark symphony orchestra and South Denmark Girls' Choir. Most famous are their farewell concert "The Last Concert" in 2014, which attracted fans from all over the world to travel to Sønderborg.
It wasn't really a farewell, as Efterklang has been very active in recent years with releases and tours. Their first Danish-language album, "Altid Sammen," was released in 2019, and in 2021, the album "Windflowers" was released - and everything suggests that 2024, will bring a new and exciting album from Efterklang.
